Key Dates and deadlines

High Impact Pilot Research Award, High Impact Research Project Award, Community Practice-Based Research Planning Award, Postdoctoral Fellowship, California STAR Award, and Mackay California-Pacific Rim Tobacco Policy Scholar Award:

  • July 7, 2016 - Letter of Intent (LOI) materials available
  • September 13, 2016 - LOI submission due (required; see note below)
  • December 8, 2016 - Application submission due
  • February 2017 - Applications reviewed
  • April - May 2017 - Applicants notified
  • July 1, 2017 - Awards start

NOTE: For the 2016-17 application cycle, please submit your LOI using the proposalCENTRAL system NO LATER THAN Tuesday, September 13, 2016 (12PM PDT). Upon receipt of your LOI you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. Please keep this for your records. If you do not receive an automatic confirmation notice, your LOI will not be deemed received by RGPO and will not be reviewed. All applicants who have submitted the LOI in a timely manner will also receive a second email indicating the status of the LOI (approved/denied), on or before Monday, October 3, 2016. CHDAS and Scientific Conference Award do not require a separate LOI.

Application procedure for Cornelius Hopper Diversity Award Supplements (CHDAS):

Request for CHDAS must be submitted as part of an original application (i.e., High Impact Pilot Research Award, High Impact Research Project Award, Community Practice-Based Research Planning Award, California STAR Award, Mackay California-Pacific Rim Tobacco Policy Scholar Award) or as part of a grant scientific progress report to be considered for funding.
